Independent’s Festival: introducing Martin’s Toys & Memorabilia

Have you ducked into the first shop on the left inside Antiques Alley at the Market? Its actually two shops in a unit shared by Tony Tunes and Martin of Martins Toys & Memorabilia. They collaborate so they can both be open all of the market hours. Tony Tunes is quite well known – given his regular DJing at the Rose & Crown and encyclopaedic knowledge of music. If you’ve been to the market you probably know Martin too – even if you don’t realise it. He’s friendly and welcoming and often helps customers find their way to other shops…. but do you know what he sells?

Martin has an impressive collection of vintages toys, music memorabilia, vintage hi-fi and record players and other cool stuff. If you – or someone you know is into James Bond or the Beatles he’s THE destination.

Do you remember when The Beatles played at the Walthamstow Granada*? Do you know they did? He has memorabilia from the concerts.

Have you seen a James Bond Lone Star Thunderball Sub Tank? Do you remember the James Bond Corgi toys?

You’ll want to pop in and check out Martin’s shop. He’s been collecting and selling for thirty-plus years and trades in Wood Street Indoor Market, Unit 2/3, Walthamstow, E17 3HX. Free parking on Havant Road.

Feel free to contact Martin via email or phone: cleminson9@aol.com, 07946 415 501

Come celebrate Independents with us next Saturday 7 July all day!
